Established in 1940 in its present location of what used to be the Hainanese neighbourhood of Singapore, Yet Con has remained steadfast in the midst of a fast developing area. The first signature item served when they opened was Hainanese steamboat, which remains popular to this day. To this, they added Hainanese chicken rice, which remains one of the top in Singapore as the rice is fragrant and the chicken is tender. Other dishes such as roast pork and the Hainanese pork chop have joined the list of must-orders.
