Outlet Description:

Singapore’s oldest family-run Chinese restaurant, Spring Court, was established in 1929 at Great World Amusement Park. Formerly called Wing Choon Yuen, the well-known restaurant hosted countless wedding banquets in the early days. In 1978, when the park closed, the restaurant was reborn as Spring Court in Chinatown’s Oriental Theatre. It later moved to the East Coast in 1990, before settling into its current premises at Cross Street in 2004. Its signature dishes include deep-fried ‘wafer’ of deboned chicken spread with prawn paste; deep-fried crab balls made with crabmeat; salted egg yolk and chicken livers wrapped in pig’s caul; and homemade popiah. Today, owner Mike Ho and his mother still run the popular restaurant.
