Outlet Description:

The bustling activity at Tiong Bahru Teochew Kueh starts early in the morning, as workers knead trays full of dough – which, in traditional style, is more robust than the more fragile, less distinctive dough used in many commercial kueh – and stir up fillings in preparation for the coming day. Their specialties: the seldom-seen or kueh (black bean dumplings); png kueh (sticky rice dumplings); ang ku kueh; soon kueh with yambean filling; koo chai kueh (chive dumplings); and glutinous rice. The steamed dumplings can also be had lightly pan-fried. Don’t forget to spoon on the chilli sauce. Opened everyday from 7am – 2pm, except Mondays.
